ACDR is a simple tool to read an audio track on a particular CD and convert its format to any of the multitude of options offered.
That's not its only function, though. It can also work around any special protections on the CD, eliminate those long silences at the beginning of a track, and create M3U playlists.
The program supports AIFF, ALAW, APE, AU, F32, FLAC, IFF, MAT, MP2, MP3, OGG, RA, SB, SW, TXT, UB, ULAW, UW, VOC, VOX, WAV, and WMA formats, meaning you can convert and play practically any audio track.
Once you get the audio file, you can rename the track to store it in an orderly manner, provided you haven't already done so when copying the disc.
Now you can have all your favorite music together, no matter its original format.
